Why Plan a Corporate Event for January or February?

After the holidays, you get your pick of hotels and venues. In the fall and before Christmas, conference rooms are booked months ahead, while in January and February city hotels, chateaus, and resorts have more open dates. From the venues we've vetted, we'll pick the one that has a conference room and guest rooms available during your week.

Mountain hotels are the exception. January and February are their peak season, with Czech spring school breaks on top, so for them we book further in advance.

We'll put the whole event together in a few weeks. In the fall, dates get booked as much as six months ahead, but in January and February it's usually enough to get in touch about a month before your planned date. Our instructor team brings all the equipment and hosts the program in English or Czech.

We choose the program based on where you meet. In the mountains the whole team stays warm in the conference room, while in South Moravia or a big city's historic center you'll enjoy two hours outdoors even in January. In winter we start outdoor programs earlier in the afternoon, so they run in daylight and teams get back inside before dark.

We run Treasure Hunt even in the middle of winter. In January 2026 a small team played it in Mikulov, and in February 2026 a company's management team stayed at a local hotel and took on a Treasure Hunt through downtown Olomouc. That same January, we ran an evening Chocolate Day for fifty people at a pub in Brno.

Large story-driven outdoor games like Sherlock Strikes Back, Indiana and the Holy Grail, and Castle Breakout are available in winter too. We run them on the grounds of a hotel, resort, or castle, and their winter version is a challenge for hardy teams who don't mind snow or freezing temperatures and want to start the year with something the office will talk about for a long time.

How Do You Fit a Program Into a Kickoff, Meeting, or Training Session?

We fit the program into your schedule so your meeting stays uninterrupted. Just send us the day's agenda. The morning is for the meeting or presentations, and the program follows in the afternoon or evening.

A Chocolate Stand in the lobby sweetens the breaks between presentations, and Brain Party breaks the ice between colleagues from different departments on the first evening. After lunch, the whole team can head out on a two-hour Treasure Hunt through the city, and at the end of a two-day conference a competitive Game of Tables brings everyone together.

The Meetings team development program takes place right in the conference room, so nobody has to change into workout clothes. It focuses on communication and information sharing between teams, which is why it follows naturally from a morning meeting.

The Battle for the White House development program takes place mostly indoors, but many of its scenes are shot outside, so nobody sits in a meeting room all day. Two teams each run a campaign for their presidential candidate, record campaign ads on tablets, and watch the polls shift.

We arrive with plenty of setup time, based on your schedule, and after the program we put the room back the way we found it, so the next presentation can start without delay.

Don't Feel Like Going Outside? Stay Warm

Your team can join the Remote Escape Game or the Remote Pub Quiz from the office, from home, or from a branch on the other side of the country. Everyone just joins via Teams, Zoom, or Meet. The escape game runs in a web app where teams unravel a story full of codes and puzzles together, and the quiz is run by a host from our virtual studio.

That way, colleagues working from home can join in, and so can colleagues at other branches. The program runs from half an hour to two hours, nobody freezes, and nobody has to travel.

When Is a New Year Party Better Than a December One?

A New Year party makes sense when your December is packed, or when you want to start the new year together. Some companies plan it for January on purpose: nobody has to squeeze three parties into a single December week, and everyone gets together without the rush.

You can choose a competitive Game of Tables evening, a pub quiz with a fun host, a guided tasting, or the Don Maccarone mafia party for larger companies. If you go with Chocolate Day, every colleague takes home a box of chocolates they made themselves.

How Does Planning a January Event Work?

1. Send us the headcount, the city, and an approximate date. Within two business days you'll get a program proposal from us, and if you don't have a hotel yet, we'll add a few venue suggestions.
2. Together we choose a program to fit the venue and the season. We'll tell you which programs work outdoors in January and which belong in a conference room.
3. We book space with room to spare. We reserve the conference room and guest rooms with extra capacity, so even a colleague who signs up at the last minute has a place.
4. We arrive with all the equipment. Instructors lead the workshops, and members of our instructor team host the games and quizzes, in English or Czech as needed.
5. We announce the results and hand out prizes. We add up the points, the winning team receives an award, and the rest of the evening is yours to mingle.
