Movies Based on Video Games
Why are more and more movies being made based on video games and which are the best ones? For a long time, movies and games were two separate entities. However, this began to change in the early 1990s. First, Super Mario made it to the silver screen, but it was a flop. A few years later, Mortal Kombat followed, performing significantly better. Thanks to its box office success, Hollywood studios started to toy with the idea of adapting popular video game titles into films.
