Where and When to Look for Accommodation

If you're looking for accommodation for your event in South Moravia, start well in advance. First check availability for your dates, and only then plan the program. Besides corporate events, the area also draws vacationing families and tour groups.

If you remember in the first week of September that you want to hold an event here that same month for a hundred of your colleagues, you'll have a very hard time finding accommodation. Likewise, in July and August every hotel is hopelessly booked up with family vacations.

Both in Lednice (Hotel Galant Lednice, Penzion Onyx Lednice) and in Mikulov (Hotel Galant Mikulov, Hotel Volarik Mikulov), there are only two larger hotels, and their capacity is booked long in advance.

Both towns, however, have plenty of mid-sized and smaller guesthouses, so if you don't mind housing your participants in several places overnight, this can be an interesting alternative.

If your corporate event has a limited budget, try guesthouses in small villages away from the main tourist routes. Penzion Koráb in the village of Boleradice deserves a special mention; together with Koráb Winery, it satisfies even the most demanding appetite for the beauty and flavors of South Moravia.

Clients who want maximum luxury and an event for a large group right among the vineyards can use the huge accommodation capacity of Vinařství U Kapličky.

Experiences in South Moravia

Locals are well prepared for tourists, and there's a wide range of experiences on offer. If you visit Lednice, we recommend a tour of Lednice Chateau. You can choose from several guided routes with commentary in several major languages.

A walk through Lednice Park will cost you nothing more than a few kilometers on foot. You can spread your visits to the Minaret, John's Castle, the Three Graces and many other neo-romantic buildings across several hikes or bike rides.

The park also offers horseback riding, boat rides along an arm of the Dyje River and a very popular birds of prey show that fits easily into a free afternoon.

If you drop anchor in Mikulov, it would be a sin not to visit Holy Hill or Turold Cave.

If you have a whole day, don't miss a trip to Pálava. Stolová hora, Martinka, Dívčí hrady and majestic views of the Nové Mlýny reservoirs will delight many a romantic soul.

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve

Pálava is first and foremost a protected landscape area. It's home to many rare protected species you won't normally see elsewhere, and thanks to this uniqueness, Pálava belongs to UNESCO's international network of biosphere reserves.

For a corporate program, that means one simple rule: stay on marked trails and respect the local nature.

Pálava Vineyards

Nature protection doesn't keep visitors away, though. The heart of the Pálava hills is surrounded by vineyards tended by winemakers from Pavlov, Dolní and Horní Věstonice, Klentnice and Mikulov.

After an afternoon program, the natural way to end the day is in one of their wine cellars.

Hiking Trails

The whole area is crossed by a network of hiking trails that practically invite team building in the form of a GPS-based outdoor game.

Paragliders fly regularly from Tabulová hora, and paragliding for a corporate event can also be arranged at several other spots nearby.

Team-Building Activities in Lednice Park

South Moravia is one of the most sought-after destinations for corporate team building. Right in the Lednice-Valtice Area, we run several programs that make use of the chateau park, its buildings and its open meadows.
